The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has released the pre-planting prices for the 2024/25 summer season, covering key commodities such as maize, traditional grains, soya bean, and sunflower. This announcement is crucial for farmers and stakeholders for planning purposes.

According to the media release dated January 9, 2025, the pre-planting prices are as follows:

  • Maize: USD 335.14 per metric ton (MT)

  • Traditional Grains: USD 335.14 per metric ton (MT)

  • Soybean: USD 619.31 per metric ton (MT)

  • Sunflower: USD 712.20 per metric ton (MT)
