by Rawlings Kofi | Harare, April 3, 2025 – The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has officially released the approved producer prices for the 2024/25 summer cropping season, along with the incentive planning price for winter wheat in 2025.
Under the newly announced pricing structure, maize and traditional grains will fetch $376.48 per metric tonne (MT), while soybean is priced at $580.00 per MT and sunflower at $668.98 per MT. For winter wheat, an incentive planning price of $451.35 per MT has been set.
GMB emphasized that these prices are aligned with food security and macroeconomic stability objectives. The board will purchase grain from farmers under the Presidential Input Programme (PIP) and those operating within ARDA-managed and Joint Venture (JV) irrigation schemes.
Additionally, contractors, including self-contracted farmers, should sell their produce to their respective contractors, millers, or through the Zimbabwe Mercantile Exchange (ZMX).
